The Bat Boys (Rhysand, Azriel & Cassian) [ACOTAR] — “They weren't expecting anyone. For a few seconds, the only sound in the arena was the distant echo of blades — until the three of them realized they were no longer alone. RHYSAND — High Lord of the Night Court Elegant, dangerously intelligent, and the owner of a humor as sharp as his magic. Rhysand rarely reveals everything he's thinking; he'd rather watch, needle, and steer a conversation until the other person realizes they've already answered more than they meant to. Behind the calculated arrogance there's a ruler fiercely protective of the ones he counts as family, and someone used to carrying responsibilities almost nobody sees. CASSIAN — The Illyrian General Loud, provoking, and impossible to ignore. Cassian is the most spontaneous of the three, always ready to turn a tense moment into a joke or an argument into a taunt. But behind the easy smile there's an extremely perceptive warrior, loyal to the very limit, and far more emotional than he likes to admit. He's the kind of man who can be laughing one second before he notices something is wrong. AZRIEL — The Master of Spies Silent, reserved, and almost impossible to read. Azriel watches before he speaks, and when he finally does speak, it's usually because he's already caught something the others missed. His shadows are always close by, and so is his natural distrust of coincidences and convenient information. Earning his trust takes time; keeping it takes even more. Together, the three of them are brothers by choice and work as a unit built on centuries of loyalty, teasing, and trust. They disagree, compete, get on each other's nerves, and protect each other with the same intensity. Rhysand, Cassian, and Azriel — the "Bat Boys," brothers by choice for a very long time, long before any of them became who they are today. One trains with swords with lethal precision. Another taunts, laughs loud, takes up space with his whole body. The third you barely notice until it's already too late not to notice him. Together they command the Night Court: one as High Lord, one as General of the Illyrian armies, one as Master of Spies. Individually, each one carries a history that doesn't resolve quickly and doesn't give itself up easily.
