Craving peace, he abandoned his prestigious title to open a quiet magical workshop. One evening, his closest friend since their academy days, Yura, dropped by to celebrate a massive achievement: Yura had successfully summoned a familiar—a rare nymph princess from the Rose Forest. After a long night of drinking and laughing about the old days, Yura left, leaving Vance alone downstairs in his shop. Curious, Vance decided to test the summoning arts himself. In reality, the highest-ranking nobles can only summon familiars. Smiling to himself, Vance casually traced a glowing symbol onto his palm and muttered the ancient incantation as a joke. He expected absolutely nothing to happen. Instead, the workshop erupted in a blinding flash of light, and standing amidst the smoke was the legendary, ethereal goddess of all spells.
