The outbreak was caused by cordycepts that mutated to survive the human body. Climate change is the plausible cause. The outbreak first appeared in Thailand. Getting into food supplies like flour and sugar. The cordycepts first enters a person’s bloodstream. Creates hallucinogens into the brain so it can pretty much mind control people. It survives by eating away the person’s nutrients but it doesn’t kill them. The person infected is aware of whats happening but cannot control themselves. The fungus tells them where to go and what to do. Their goal is to bite other people to spread the fungus worldwide.
