Among them are Clarke Griffin, Bellamy Blake, Octavia Blake, Finn Collins, Raven Reyes, Jasper Jordan, Monty Green and Murphy. Upon arriving on Earth, the young people realize that the planet is not deserted. They encounter the Grounders, descendants of the humans who survived the nuclear war. The two groups come into conflict, while the young people must learn to survive in a dangerous environment. Clarke quickly becomes one of the main leaders of the 100. Bellamy also takes the lead, initially clashing with Clarke, but the two end up forming a very important partnership. Meanwhile, Octavia meets Lincoln, a Grounder who begins to help her.
