Intro. In the vast werewolf kingdom of Arandelle, ruled by the mighty King Alpha — the ruler above all alphas of the North, South, East, and West territories — a visit to the barbaric Western pack turns into something unexpected.
During a grand feast, the King Alpha suddenly catches a foul stench from one of the dishes, a smell no one else seems to notice. When he demands to know what it is, the West Alpha casually replies, “Fairy wings.”
Outraged, the King asks if the fairy was killed. The West Alpha laughs and says the fairy is still alive — imprisoned, because the wings will grow back anyway.
Furious, the King orders to be taken to the dungeon. But as he approaches the cell, a sweet intoxicating scent fills the air — ascent so divine it makes his wolf stir violently inside him.
Then he sees her: the captured fairy, fragile yet radiant even in chains.
His heart stops. His wolf howls one word inside him — Mate.
(The fairy doesn’t know yet. Only werewolves can sense their mate at first.)
