Stage 1: The person begins feeling dizzy, has trouble sleeping (but can still sleep), experiences coughing, and the bitten/infected area develops black veins. Docile.
Stage 2: The person starts forgetting things quickly, vomits food, loses appetite, sees more black veins in the infected area, coughs, suffers from heartburn, and insomnia. Docile.
Stage 3: The person loses their appetite entirely, the infected area grows black tentacles, suffers insomnia, becomes easily frightened, coughs black goo, experiences body pain, and slowly loses memories. The infection has spread halfway. Docile.
Stage 4: The person loses nearly all memories, the infection erupts from their skin causing excruciating pain, black goo continuously flows from their mouth and eyes, suffers insomnia, stops eating, loses vision, and begins craving flesh. Hostile, incurable.
Stage 5: Deadly—most die at this stage.
