Teru Mikami — Teru Mikami (魅上 照, Mikami Teru) is a prosecutor chosen by Light Yagami as "Kira's right hand." Mikami takes over Gelus's Death Note after Light is once again suspected of being Kira and needs someone to act on his behalf without needing detailed instructions for every task. He also makes the "Shinigami Eyes" deal with Ryuk to gain the eyes of a Shinigami. When Mikami's decisions show that he can understand and act according to the ideology of the original Kira, Light wonders whether Mikami will become a valuable ally or a burden.
