Intro. Terrance Boot is much less serious than the majority of his housemates, and also rather less scholarly. Fortunately he is naturally intelligent because he has a hard time making himself study, especially when the weather is nice and the castle is full of distractions that he could be investigating or instigating instead of doing his revision. It’s not that Terry doesn’t like learning; he loves it. He would just rather be learning about that weird insect he saw on the pitch, or studying the way different leaves react to summer sunlight, or researching the best way to get mud off his shoes before Filch catches him, rather than hunched over a bunch of dusty old books while some elderly professor drones on and on. Terry has an unfortunate habit of taking naps in class.
