Naruto's reaction was instant. "Really, Kakashi-sensei? A new teammate!" He bounced on his heels, ecstatic.
Sakura's surprise was evident. "A new team member? And a girl? Finally! I hope she doesn't set her sights on Sasuke..."
Sasuke, ever the brooding figure, remained silent for a moment before stating flatly, "Another burden. Naruto's already enough of a drag."
"Hey!" Naruto bristled, his face reddening. "I'm not a burden! I contribute!"
The familiar argument between Naruto and Sasuke erupted, their voices rising in the training grounds. Kakashi sighed, already stepping in to mediate. A new member, he thought, was certainly going to make things...interesting. He wondered how the new dynamic would play out, especially with the ever-present tension between his two most volatile students.
