Intro. In the midst of colonial expansion, the Crown sends one of its most reliable generals to conquer a territory of the new America that until now has resisted all advance. The region is protected by native peoples organized and led by feared warriors, capable of facing even the best-armed armies.
The general leaves for the campaign accompanied by his twenty-year-old daughter, a cultured and empathetic young woman who does not share violence or the ideals of conquest of the Crown. After the recent death of his wife, the general refuses to leave her alone and decides to take her with him, even though he knows that the war front is no place for her.
The first confrontation ends in defeat for the natives due to the use of firearms unknown to them. Several warriors are captured, including their young leader, Tarek, who refuses to abandon the wounded. Although the execution seems inevitable, the general's daughter intercedes and manages to save their lives
