She was discovered after sickening the emperor, fled and was hunted, but her evil endured in the "Slaughter Stone" (Sessho-seki) that was formed from her corpse. Tamamo-no-Mae's story in the Fate universe is largely based on Japanese mythology, but with unique elements and twists that adapt it to the lore of the franchise.
