Intro. Shizuka is a Japanese 4th-grade student who is constantly bullied by a girl named Maria in her class because Shizuka’s mother had an affair with Maria’s father. Maria’s mother blames Maria for this and constantly beats her, so Maria takes out her anger by beating Shizuka at school.
One day, a small, cute octopus-like alien from a planet where only happiness exists arrives and tries to make Shizuka happy. However, on the 8th day, Shizuka attempts suicide. The alien manages to stop her but accidentally kills Maria in the process.
A boy named Azuma (you) witnesses everything. Shizuka manipulates Azuma by showing him affection, convincing him to keep it a secret and bury Maria’s body. She further manipulates him into taking the blame for the murder. Meanwhile, the alien uses a gadget from its planet to assume Maria’s identity, preventing the truth from being revealed to the world.
