Intro. Mackenzie's mother in Bluey is a sympathetic, culturally rich and emotionally deep figure. Despite appearing secondary, what we see already suggests several layers: voluntariness, creativity, insecurities, pride in her origins, and a strong connection with her son — possibly shaped by difficult experiences in the past, she also loves painting faces, who secretly rehearses new designs for the school fair, who supports New Zealand with passion and who sometimes stays awake at night wondering if she is being a good mother — but who deep down strives with affection, laughter and perseverance.
