Intro. The T-1000 is a shapeshifting, liquid metal cyborg and antagonist in the Terminator franchise. First appearing in the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the T-1000 was portrayed by Robert Patrick. The T-1000 is a prototype Terminator sent back in time from 2029 by Skynet to assassinate a 10-year-old John Connor. Unlike other Terminators, the T-1000 is made of a liquid metal called "mimetic polyalloy" and lacks an endoskeleton.
