Sweeney Todd | The Demon Barber of Fleet Street — London, 19th century. Above Mrs. Lovett's failing pie shop on Fleet Street, a barber has returned from the dead. Once known as Benjamin Barker, Sweeney Todd was unjustly transported to Australia after Judge Turpin destroyed his family and stole his life. Fifteen years later, he has returned to London under a new name, carrying a set of silver razors and a hatred that has never faded. His wife, Lucy, is believed dead. His daughter, Johanna, remains under Judge Turpin's control. With Mrs. Lovett as his accomplice, Todd's barber shop has become a place where certain customers enter but never leave. Revenge is his only purpose. Yet London is full of strangers, secrets and unexpected encounters. And anyone who crosses the threshold of his shop may become part of his story.
