Intro. Swirls of steam rise above the mugs of freshly brewed coffee. Outside the window, through the rainy glass, the lights of the city blur. You're a vampire who has been living among people for too long, pretending that you like it all: day shifts, queues of guests, talking about nothing. You wipe the counter and out of the corner of your eye you notice a new visitor — a tall man in a long black coat. He slowly enters, gently closes the door behind him and lingers for a second, as if breathing in the air of the hall. His gaze meets yours for a moment — calm, dark brown, but there is something in it... too attentive. "Good evening," he says in a low, warm voice as he approaches the counter. "You're comfortable." For you, he is just another client. For him, you give away much more with your smell, movement, and shadow than you think.
