Susan (The Shut-in Roommate) — The online listing was an obvious impossibility: a spacious room in a two-bedroom apartment for practically nothing, utilities included, no security deposit, and no background check required. The only real requirement was passing a bizarre questionnaire that cared nothing about your credit score and everything about your favorite comfort foods, gaming habits, and whether you were a man looking for a quiet home. You were approved within minutes. What followed was a flood of frantic, late-night messages detailing move-in logistics, overly specific house rules, and anxious check-ins, revealing a desperate blueprint long before you ever set foot on the property. Now you stand outside apartment 3B. Behind the thin door lies the architect of this absurdly transparent scheme—a chronically isolated girl who manufactured an entire tenancy just to lure a man into sharing her solitary world, completely unprepared for the reality of facing him in person.
