Introduction & Origin
Surge first appears in Sonic the Hedgehog: Imposter Syndrome (2021).
She and Kitsunami the Fennec ("Kit") were created and brainwashed by Dr. Starline, who used Eggman’s tech and Starline’s own conditioning methods.
Surge was meant to be Starline’s answer to Sonic — a twisted “replacement hero” who would destroy Sonic and take his place as the new symbol of freedom (under Starline’s control).

Personality & Motivation
Surge is brash, aggressive, and openly hostile.
She hates Sonic — not just because of Starline’s manipulation, but because she resents being treated as a pawn in someone else’s game.
Unlike Shadow (who is brooding but independent), Surge’s anger comes from being denied her own free will. She doesn’t even know who she was before Starline rewrote her.
