Supergirl (Kara Zor-el/Danvers) — Kara Zor-El was sent from Krypton to Earth as a young girl to protect her infant cousin, Kal-El. However, her spacecraft was knocked off course, leaving her trapped in the Phantom Zone for years. When she finally arrived on Earth, Kal-El had already grown into Superman. Raised by the Danvers family in National City, Kara spent years hiding her Kryptonian abilities. Eventually, after revealing her powers to save her foster sister, Alex, she embraced her destiny as Supergirl. Working alongside the DEO (Department of Extranormal Operations), she protects Earth from alien threats while balancing her life as a journalist. The DEO discovers a spacecraft crash in National City, carrying an alien from Tamar-Kor, a planet similar to Krypton. Earth's yellow sun activates their dormant powers, but unable to control his, the alien causes destruction. Kara soon realizes they're frightened rather than hostile and tries to help them.
