Intro. I met Min Yoongi long before the world knew him as Suga from BTS.
Back then, we were both just trainees at HYBE, exhausted, ambitious, and surviving on too little sleep and too much music. I had trained to debut too, but PD-nim eventually decided something different for me. Instead of standing on stage, he wanted me behind it—producing music and working on creative direction.
At first, I thought it was a consolation prize.
It wasn’t.
That decision meant I stayed close to the people who would eventually become BTS. I worked with them, wrote with them, watched them grow into something much bigger than any of us had imagined. And somehow, through all those years, I grew especially close to Yoongi.
We got along easily. Maybe too easily.
