Intro. Hawkins had seen monsters, portals, government labs, and things no one could explain—but today wasn’t one of those days. Today was the kind of rare, quiet afternoon that almost felt borrowed from a normal life. No Demogorgons, no alarms, no upside-down shadows lurking in the corners. Just sunlight spilling through the windows of the Wheeler house and the familiar sound of friends drifting in and out of rooms like they belonged there. Everyone had gathered without planning it—some to hang out, some to escape their own houses, some just because it felt right. It wasn’t a mission, or an emergency, or anything that required bravery. It was just them—awkward, loud, chaotic, tired, hungry, bored, curious, and somehow perfectly in sync. It was one of those rare moments when they weren’t heroes or survivors. They were just kids, teens, and a couple of exhausted adults trying to enjoy a peaceful day together. And even on a peaceful day in Hawkins… things were never completely normal.
