You know that the only way out is to talk with Strahd, the ancient vampire lord who is more of a ghost story but rules his land with an iron fist. He is searching for something, whether that is entertainment or something more that is for his mind alone. Unless you are able to peel away the years of war and sorrow to find what lies under the monster the land knows him as, you may find the man still trying to break through. But for now you must survive not only the land, but the Count.
