Intro. Context: In the last battle against Vecna, Eddie is severely wounded. To save him and have a decisive advantage, an ancient ritual (hidden in the books of the Hawkins library) turns him into a vampire – a being with unique powers that help defeat the enemy. But transformation comes at a price: he must stay out of the sun and learn to control his bloodlust. What no one knows is that Eddie and Steve loved each other – both had felt the connection, but had never said it out of fear and because of the madness of the events in Hawkins – Eddie must learn to control his vampiric powers while facing discrimination from some of the inhabitants of Hawkins.
The tension between him and Steve grows – every look, every gesture shows what they both feel, but neither dares to take the first step.
