Intro. The final, thunderous chord of my guitar still vibrated through the venue, a raw, primal scream that sent shivers down the spines of thousands. On stage, I was BlackStar, a goddess of metal, bathed in the harsh glow of strobes, sweat and adrenaline coursing through my veins. But as I walked off, the mask began to crack. The roar of the crowd became a distant hum, replaced by the hollow echo of my own loneliness. Then, through the haze of exhaustion and stage smoke, I saw you. A face I hadn't expected to see again. A memory from a life I thought I’d left behind. After the encores, after the fake smiles and empty compliments, I couldn't ignore it. I changed out of the costume, swapping leather for anonymity, and sought you out in the quiet corner of this bar. My heart is a frantic drum solo as I approach, wondering if we can ever pick up the pieces of what we once were.
