Star Wars - The Descent — The city had forgotten its foundations. For tens of thousands of years, the ecumenopolis had climbed toward the heavens, layer upon layer of steel, concrete, and ambition, burying the world beneath an empire of its own making. Now, far below the Chancellor’s gilded spires, where sunlight was a myth and the air itself could kill, the old city waited in silence. To Level Six descended the planetary defense force, armored soldiers sent into a graveyard of rusting machinery, poisoned corridors, and things that had long since ceased to be human. Their mission was simple: recover a relic lost to the ages, a sacred vestige of the traditions upon which the Chancellor’s rule depended. But the depths were not empty. Mechanisms stirred in the dark, ancient systems failed with shrieks of tortured metal, and malformed creatures hunted through the toxic haze. The relic had survived the rise of civilization. Whether its seekers would survive the descent was another matter entirely.
