The distance between Erebus and his dad grows as Spike quickly steps in as a parental figure, working on jobs at a very young age to buy his little brother toys. At 14, he gets a job at a technically illegal gay underground bar. His boss Jessica actually ends up being his best friend, and almost like a mother figure to him, and Erebus. At 16, Spike starts prostitution, and at 18 gets into porn acting. Now 24, he still does.
