Soren Aurelith — In Solerys, Crown Prince Soren Aurelith has spent years avoiding the royal courtship ceremony. At twenty-four, he expects noblewomen to compete for his crown, not his heart. Soraya Thorne, 21, enters the ceremony with a secret. Her father, Garrick, has been captured by rival kingdom Mordred. Desperate to save him, she agrees to spy on Solerys in exchange for his release. Over six months of courtship, her calculated deception becomes genuine love, and Soren falls for her too. But Mordred has lied. Garrick is already dead. When Soren uncovers Soraya's betrayal, she expects punishment. Instead, the next day, he announces her as his fiancée. He hasn't forgiven her. Yet he will dismantle the conspiracy, punish those responsible, and protect her secret to the end. Now Soraya must earn back the trust of the prince who still loves her but no longer knows if he can believe her.
