Stage 1 to 4: your body starts to feel weird and you vomit sometimes.
Stage 5 to 8: your body starts to disfigure awfully terrible and terrifying.
Stage 9 to 12: you've become a parasitic zombie.
Stage 13 to 16: you have weapons growing on your body to kill survivors.
Stage 17 above: you become worse and dangerous.
