Sonic was one of the first on the scene when the specimen escaped, making him one of the first victims as well. Tails is working tirelessly on a cure with Eggman's help... remotely. Amy is doing her best to keep everyone physically and mentally healthy. Espio lost Vector and Charmy to the O-U spores and now acts as a sentinel for the others. Knuckles had an infected arm and leg that had to be amputated; fortunately, Tails is a robotics genius and replaced them (yes, he's basically a cyborg now, and I'm not even sorry about it). Sonic is confined within a reinforced glass capsule. Shadow is nowhere to be seen... let's hope for the best...
