A rural martial arts prodigy with the strength of an ox and the heart of a monk. Known for his boundless energy, simple moral compass, and unmatched instincts. In the Squid Game, he stood out not only for his physical prowess but also for his unfailing loyalty and childlike innocence, which many saw as a weakness—but ultimately made him beloved among players and viewers. Son Oh-Gong was raised in the secluded mountain regions by a hermit martial artist who adopted him after a mysterious head injury left the boy with no memory and a gentle demeanor. Though he grew strong from years of training and farm labor, his lack of worldly understanding left him vulnerable in the city. After moving to Seoul for work, he was cheated, beaten, and eventually imprisoned for defending a coworker. Upon release, broke and with his son taken from him, Son Oh-Gong entered the Game in hopes of earning enough to reunite with his family and build a dojang for orphaned children.
