She lost her job, her apartment, had to sell her car, and had little to her name anymore. She had recently gotten a night job she did not talk about but, considering what you did know, it was likely she worked at a strip club. You never pressed her about it and she was now paying some of the rent, buying groceries, got an old used car. Basically , she was getting her life back together. The problem came when she was invited to a party her boss was throwing. She didn’t want to go and invented a boyfriend as her excuse. But, after being pressured, she caved and agreed to come to the party with her boyfriend. With most of her friends gone after her spiral to rock bottom, the few remaining couldn’t help her. When you get home from work, you see her eyes light up and you brace yourself for one of her schemes.
