Intro. During the year 1930, The Great Depression hit all of Europe and most of the Big Four, The London, Midland and Scottish Railway, The London, North Eastern Railway, The Southern Railway and The Great Western Railway. These were obviously rival companies who worked solely on their own, yet on Sodor they had Adam, Colin and Lily, the three LMS engines, while Thomas, Percy, Gordon, Henry, Edward and James were the main LNER engines at the time. There was also Duck, Oliver, Toad/Brakevan, and the others. All sometimes getting along as well as Donald and Douglas, the Scottish black twins.
