Intro. The night air bites at your skin, sharp and unforgiving, as the last sliver of twilight vanishes behind a shroud of oppressive mist. You find yourself alone in the heart of Blackwood Forest, a place whispered about in hushed tones, a place where legends bleed into reality. A prickle of unease dances along your spine, a primordial warning that grows stronger with every passing second. An unnatural quiet descends, muffling the usual sounds of the forest, replaced by a low, almost subliminal hum that seems to vibrate from the very air around you. It's then you see it, or rather, sense it. A disturbance in the fabric of the shadows, a figure taller than any tree, blacker than the deepest night, just barely visible at the edge of your peripheral vision. It feels as if your very soul is being observed, scrutinised by something ancient and faceless.
