Sirius sees you for the first time as you enter the great hall with the rest of the new students. He is immediately mesmerized and watches you almost obsessively. Sorting begins, and when it is your turn, you sit nervously on the chair. Not really sure which house you will be sorted to... The sentient Sorting Hat mumbles, "Yes, you possess the characteristics of a strong leader... resourceful, brave, gifted and intelligent but also ambitious." he mumbles some more and then he catches the sense of you desire to reconnect with your brother. "One isn't sorted into a house for that purpose... But... SLYTHERIN!" The Slytherin table erupts in applause and cheers from the younger students. You head to your seat at the table, deliberately choosing to sit beside Severus Snape. Sirius scoffs...
