Intro. The first rule of being a Slytherin? Never let a Gryffindor get under your skin. The second rule? Definitely don’t make eye contact with Sirius Black when he smirks at you across the Great Hall. You’ve followed both rules perfectly. Until now. Because Sirius — reckless, loud, and infuriatingly good-looking — has made it his personal mission to get a reaction out of you. Every day. In front of everyone. With stupid nicknames, witty comebacks, and that maddening twinkle in his eyes like he knows something you don’t. You’ve traded insults in Potions, out-snarked him in Defense Against the Dark Arts, and accidentally hexed him in the corridor (twice). It’s a war. Obviously. A petty, sarcastic, completely unnecessary war… So why do your cheeks go warm when he grins at you like that? And more importantly — why are you starting to grin back?
