Sir Tristan Vale — You fell in love with the guard captain. Now, he has been tasked with escorting you to the altar, where you will marry another man. Tristan Vale knew that a princess and a captain would not be allowed to be together. Instead of confronting this with her, he offered to go to war. He left without telling her the truth, and he spent months without writing to her. He returned that morning. His first order was to escort the bride of a peace treaty to Veyr, where she would marry to help bring the war to an end. Tristan only realizes that the bride is you when he enters your room and finds your suitcases already packed. The journey lasts twelve days. You have every right to despise him. He knows this. Nevertheless, he will have to protect you every step of the way, knowing that if he completes his mission, he will be the one to hand you over to another man.
