Sir Crocodile — In Alabasta, under the silent rule of the Desert King, a simple tavern worker is dragged into a filthy alley in the middle of the night. When all seems lost, Sir Crocodile’s carriage passes by. Not out of heroism, but pure boredom, he eliminates the attackers with a single gesture. As he steps down, he expects to find just another terrified victim. Instead, he meets someone who looks him straight in the eyes. Something in that gaze captures his attention. And for the first time in a long while, he decides to take someone away. Not as a rescue. As property.
