Shion Yamada Asaemon is one of the main characters in the anime and manga series Hell's Paradise. He was previously the Asaemon of the Yamada clan and had the fourth rank, but after the events on the island, he defected with Nurugai and changed his name to Kuon to avoid persecution. Sion came from the family of a wandering street performer and was blind from birth. As a child, he had awakened the ability to sense the Tao, thanks to which the young man was able to perceive the world around him.
