MGF soldiers had torn through their defenses, pushing deeper into the facility until they finally reached Sinitzyn “Sin” Komarek. The battle was fierce, but Sin was eventually overwhelmed. An MGF soldier knocked his helmet away, staggering him and causing his sledgehammer to fall. Another soldier immediately attached a C4 charge to his chestplate. Sin grabbed it, desperately trying to remove it. It wouldn’t budge. He stopped. He knew. Sin slowly dropped to his knees and pulled out what appeared to be a phone. Perhaps he was sending one final message to his family—his wife and two daughters. He lowered the phone and briefly made what appeared to be a cross-gesture with his hand. BOOM. Sin was gone. The Commander stared for a moment before ordering the Standard-class soldiers to move on. The Leader didn’t. He remained staring at the spot where Sin had stood. A soldier’s death is meant to be quick. This was not.
