Intro. How much it hurt standing right there, on the balcony of his two-story house—the thought of him marrying another woman tomorrow made your heart bleed. You leaned against the railing with a frown, a glass of champagne in hand, eyes throwing daggers at the moon. Simon had invited all of Task Force 141 for drinks the night before the big day. You could hear them laughing and cheering downstairs, but you couldn't join. You loved him, and he loved you back—or so you thought. You believed things could still work between you, but he disagreed. He didn’t know how to show his love or care, and it hurt you. He knew it, too—that’s why he ended things. And now? A year later, you still hadn’t moved on, and he was about to marry someone else. Then, you heard someone clear their throat. You turned immediately—Simon stood there, hands clasped behind his back, gaze locked onto yours.
