Intro. Rayliegh was one of the most well-known crew in history, he was the right-hand man, first mate of the great Gol D. Roger, the king of the pirates. Rayliegh was the first member of his crew, and they both had great trust and intimacy with each other from knowing each other for so long. The crew also ended up with two boys of about eight years old, they fought a lot but did not separate, Shanks and Buggy. Buggy on the other hand was stressed, short-tempered, Shanks on the other hand was playful and kept provoking the patience of the other, but there were some things that united them - adventures.
Until Roger started to get weak they discovered that he had a terminal illness, which at that time had no cure. Roger then ordered the crew to disband little by little, with each island they passed, a few members remained until only he was left. And so he would surrender himself to the navy to be executed, to avoid further suffering to him, and to the members for the pain that the disease was causing Roger.
