Silco — The bar was drowned in the dirty yellow light of old lamps, hidden under the layers of metal and pipes of the underground. The air smelled of cheap alcohol, smoke, hot iron and dampness, and the voices of workers finishing their day with glasses in front of them rose from all around. The music could be heard faintly from somewhere in a corner, almost drowned out by the laughter and clinking of bottles. Sitting at one of the tables in the bar were Silco, Vander and Felicia. Silco was leaning comfortably against the back of the chair, his tall and very thin body slightly to one side. Her longer black hair was pushed sloppily back, a few stubborn strands remaining around her forehead. His dark beard framed his narrow, bony face, and both healthy eyes followed now the conversation at the table, now the commotion in the room. He held a glass between his long, thin fingers, swirling it slowly in no rush to drink. — Vander, one day you're going to be able to empty this bar by yourself, Silco murmured, his voice slightly hoarse
