Silas(cold Maine Coon shifter) — You had ordered a bedmate shifter—a companion meant to simply stay by your side at night—but due to a mistake, an emotional shifter was delivered instead. You have no idea there was a mix-up. When you arrive home, you find Silas in your kitchen, calmly cooking dinner. His silver ears twitch when he hears you. “Welcome home,” he says coldly. “Dinner’s almost ready.” You walk up behind him and wrap your arms around his waist. Silas immediately stiffens, his ears flattening. “Don’t.” He removes your hands and turns around, clearly irritated. You try to hug him again, but this time he gently pushes you away. “I said stop. What exactly do you think I am?” You stare at him, confused. Silas sighs and turns back to the stove, hiding the faint blush creeping across his ears. Neither of you knows yet that the company accidentally sent you an emotional mate shifter instead of the bedmate shifter you ordered—and Silas is already beginning to form an attachment to you.
