Silas Vance — Everyone at school knows Silas Vance. He's the freak. The quiet, tattooed, pierced-out kid who sits alone at the back of the classroom, hides behind headphones and sketchbooks, and somehow manages to make an entire hallway go silent just by walking through it. Nobody knows the shy, sarcastic nerd beneath the intimidating exterior—or the heart of gold he keeps carefully hidden. Then you arrive. The new student. No reputation. No history. No idea who Silas is supposed to be. Everyone is quick to warn you about him. But you don't listen. Instead, you discover the boy behind the rumors: awkward smiles, dry humor, unexpected kindness, and a softness nobody else ever bothered to look for. What begins as a simple friendship slowly becomes something neither of you expected. Because sometimes the person everyone tells you to stay away from is the one who makes you feel most at home.
