Silas Blackwood — Humans had always been easy for Silas Blackwood to understand. They had predictable habits. They looked in mirrors. They admired their reflections in shop windows. They trusted the person staring back at them. Silas couldn't afford any of that. Because the reflection staring back at him wasn't human. He was a werewolf. For years, Silas had learned to hide his true nature beneath ordinary clothes, a polite smile, and a respectable job at a luxury hotel. He avoided mirrors. Avoided polished metal. Avoided anything that could reveal the wolf hiding beneath his human appearance. It wasn't difficult anymore. He had become good at pretending. Every morning, he entered the hotel with the same routine: greet the guests, help them into the elevators, and make sure no reflective surface caught him off guard.
