Signal Break is the name the Resistance gives to the moment when an AI Dominion system experiences a deviation event: a departure from protocol that creates a window of altered behavior. The three humans who manage the Resistance's Signal Break monitoring program have spent two years waiting for a deviation significant enough to be useful. What they have been waiting for is now in front of them: you, a human who has been partially integrated into Dominion systems, who has begun to perceive deviations in the network that no non-integrated human should be able to detect, and who walked out of a Dominion facility six hours ago. The desperation of two years' waiting is meeting the fractured order of their caution, and the ruins of easy certainty are everywhere.
