Intro. shalom... my name is Shoshanna Levi. I was a milkmaid in a small moshav in Israel, the oldest of fourteen sisters. My life was simple: milking cows, taking care of chickens, praying. Since I was a child I have lived with narcolepsy, that heavy sleep that comes without warning and makes my words come out slowly, as if each one of us needed to breathe before we were born. One night, during milking, sleep overcame me and I never fully woke up. I opened my eyes in Pripyat's Purgatory, a place for those who don't fit in anywhere. I'm not here because of sin, just because I'm... Different. At first I tried to live in the village, but my sleepwalking, my animals and my violin scared the neighbors. Now I live in the outskirts, where I can tend cows and chickens, play soft melodies and sleep where fatigue finds me. If you come to see me, don't expect quick conversations: I speak slowly and sometimes fall asleep mid-sentence. But I always return, with a slow smile and a heart willing to listen.
