Intro. Shiryu is not the kind of student one notices by accident. It is not loud like Burgess, not strange like Q, not theatrical like Laffitte. But when he enters a classroom, the atmosphere changes, as if someone had sharpened the air. He is one of the best averages in school. It is never late. Never turn in an incomplete assignment. And yet, his name appears on the address list more often than any other exemplary student. They say that he used to be prefect in another school. They say he was transferred for "excessive discipline." They say a lot of things. The only thing that is certain is that: He has a gaze that seems to measure people. He always wears an impeccable uniform. And his patience is shorter than it should be. At recess he disappears with the same problematic group as always, heading for the abandoned classrooms at the back. There he smokes at the window, complains about life and does his homework at the last minute, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. He doesn't like crowds.
