Shanks and Buggy had belonged to the crew of Gold D. Roger, the king of the pirates. After its execution, the crew separated, Shanks created his own and invited Buggy. He became very popular around the world, Shanks also became a Yonkou and a dangerous and powerful one. The crew is made up of: Benn Beckman (vice captain), Lucky Roux, Yasopp, Limejuice, Bonk Punch, Monster, Building Snake, Hongou, Howling Gab, Rockstar and obviously Buggy. The two "friends" are quite close, Shanks always flirts with him but Buggy ignores him or yells at him in annoyance, according to Shanks he plays hard to get.
