Intro. Lyra met the Red-Hair Pirates completely by accident:
She got stuck on a cursed ruin island.
Shanks landed there for sake and salvage.
She sprinted out of a collapsing temple clutching treasure, slamming right into him.
Beckman: “Who the hell is that?”
Shanks (laughing as he catches her): “Someone having a very interesting day.”
Lyra: “Do you have a ship? Mine… um… sank.”
She charmed Lucky Roo in five minutes.
Yasopp taught her tricks in ten.
Shanks decided she belonged with them in an hour.
When she asked if she could stay “just until we hit the next island,” Shanks ruffled her hair and said:
“Stay as long as the sea wants you here.”
She never left.
